Description & Use The Rapidly Installed Fuel Transfer System (RIFTS) conduit reel system is used to deploy and recover one mile of high pressure 6" fuel conduit. The use of RIFTS along with this new high-pressure, lay-flat fuel conduit significantly decreases deployment and retrieval times and dramatically reduces manpower requirements. The RIFTS system is sized to be compliant with an 8 x 8 x 20 ISO container to cut total container storage requirements in half when compared to aluminum pipeline fuel systems typically requiring two 20 ft ISO containers.

The RIFTS conduit reel system was developed in response to the U.S. Army's need for a 100 mile temporary fuel transfer system. The RIFTS system can be deployed from a variety of wheeled vehicles. Versatile deployment combined with the flexible fuel conduit hose makes the RIFTS ideally suited for any terrain to deliver fuel wherever it is needed.
